Pelvic Physical Therapy

Range of Motion & Pelvic Physical Therapy offers pelvic rehabilitation to those who have discomfort or disability associated with pelvic floor dysfunction.

These signs and symptoms can arise from the the following causes.

  • Pregnancy
  • Childbirth
  • Heavy lifting
  • Menopause
  • Obesity
  • Compromised connective tissue (congenitally or otherwise)
  • Obesity
  • Surgery
  • Radiation treatments

We would begin your treatment by taking a thorough history and conducting a comprehensive physical evaluation, which would be followed by interventions that would include:

  • Manual therapy, including myosfascial release, deep tissue massage, scar mobilization and more
  • Comprehensive strength, flexibility, and stabilization exercise program focused on core, and pelvic floor musculature
  • Bowel and bladder re-education techniques with diary instruction
  • Muscle relaxation and reeducation techniques
  • Postural stabilization exercises
  • Muscle re-education using biofeedback techniques
  • Home exercise programs designed to enhance functional mobility and competency
